Dear Friends of the San Diego Automotive Museum,
We hope you are doing well and staying healthy. We have great news! We look forward to welcoming you back September 17, 2020! We are committed to ensuring your visit to the Museum is a safe one and we will be following protocol established by the State and County for a safe public reopening, including but not limited to, the following mentioned below.
Effective September 17, 2020, we will temporarily be open Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm and closed Monday through Wednesday. For everyone’s safety, our staff will be cleaning throughout the day and face masks will be required for all staff and visitors ages 3 and up. Capacity limits have been put into place as well as hand sanitizer stations and social distancing markers of 6 feet. Due to the Palisades construction in front of the museum the parking lot is closed, however parking will be available throughout Balboa Park. We have set up a new temporary entrance on the north side of the building through the rollup door (this is where the vehicles would normally roll in!).
We thank you for your ongoing support and for making us part of your lives. It is with your continued support that we are able to be part of the community and we are committed to tell the story of the social and technological past, present, and future of motorized vehicles throughout our collections, exhibitions, and educational programs. We look forward to your visit and please note we have extended our That 70s Car Show with a new fleet of retro cars until January 16, 2021!
Thank you and see you soon!
